Symbolising Unity Through Diversity
We’re surrounded by symbols. Some we wear in the open. Some are hidden. Some we walk over or pass failing to realise they have meaning.
How often do our symbols detract or divide us rather than bringing us together?
Yesterday UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres made an urgent ‘red alert’ to the world. His realisation is that the only way humanity can overcome the multiplicity of escalating challenges is by harnessing the power of global. Saying he felt the world had “gone in reverse”, he expanded his thoughts, “On New Year’s Day 2018 I am not issuing an appeal, I am issuing an alert — a red alert for our world. As we begin 2018, I call for unity. We can settle conflicts, overcome hatred and defend shared values. But we can only do that together. Unity is the path. Our future depends on it."
We have the knowledge of how to close the gaps and build bridges across what now separates us. When something in your life requires you to make an offer or response the only place you’ll find your answer is inside. Facing global problems, We must turn to one another, cultivating perspectives that lead to answers we can all live with.
We invite you to share your thoughts below, and to revisit LYNNCLARITY.LOVE for a new synopsis of how this can happen.
